David D. Nickerson joined William Guman & Associates, Ltd. in
2006 as its marketing director and account executive. Dave
assumes responsibility for servicing the firm's existing
accounts and new account generation in its community design
division.
Dave and his wife, Marilyn, had been co-owners of Boulder Street
Coffee Roasters in downtown Colorado Springs, but most people
probably know Dave best from his "previous life" as a Colorado
Springs city administrator.
In 1974, Dave joined the City of Colorado Springs as Manager of
Budget & Management Analysis. Over the ensuing 32 years, he was
the city's Budget Director, Planning and Development Director,
Acting City Manager, and Group Support Manager for Governmental
Enterprises. Dave was the city's Deputy Manager until his
retirement in February 2006.
Dave's intimate knowledge of the planning and development review
process from a municipal administrative perspective help to
provide the firm's clients with valuable insight with specific
regard to public policy and entitlement; he knows what it takes
for a development proposal to be favorably reviewed by
governmental entities having jurisdiction over its approval.
